Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG that doesn't treat your attention span like an enemy. Combat is turn-based, so you can pause, think, or step away without losing anything. The party of misfits you gather has actual personalities, and the writing earns a few quiet moments along the way.
Menus are the make-or-break of any phone RPG, and here they're mostly good. Loadouts, skills, and inventory are two taps deep at most. The one wrinkle is that the map screen gets busy on smaller displays, so a bit of pinch-zooming becomes a habit.
Battery drain is moderate. Long story chapters with lots of animated cutscenes will warm the phone, but the auto-battle option lets you grind lightly without babysitting. Play with brightness a notch down and you'll get a solid evening out of it.
