Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is quiet, gorgeous, and a little melancholy. You play a lamplighter relighting a town swallowed by dusk, solving gentle environmental puzzles and slowly piecing together what happened here. There's no combat, no timer, just wandering and noticing things.

Controls are a simple tap-to-move and tap-to-interact, which suits the pace perfectly. The art is hand-drawn and full of small details you'll only catch if you slow down, and the game seems to want you to.

Because it's mostly static scenes, it's remarkably easy on the battery. I played nearly two hours on a single charge without the phone getting warm. It's the game I recommend when someone wants something calming before bed.
